Sleaford is proud to be the leading club in the county for providing opportunities in women’s cricket.
The club started offering Women’s Softball in 2019 and now puts out teams in Lincolnshire’s winter indoor league as well as playing in the summer season in the East Midlands Women’s League.
This offering expanded quickly and in 2021 Sleaford put out its first Hardball team playing Super 8s (pairs) cricket. In 2022 the club took the exciting step of putting out a full Women’s XI, playing 40 overs cricket in the East Midlands League. With over 20 women and girls now in the squad, more girls coming through our junior setup and a rising profile within the Club, Sleaford is looking to increase its offering further for the 2023 season.
With All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket increasing female participation, the club now has a pathway for girls who want to progress in the game.
Training takes place on Wednesdays for Hardball and Fridays for Softball during the playing season, and there is an indoor programme for each over the winter.
Women and girls are very welcome to join us at this exciting time for women’s cricket.
